The Night Warblers are an Edmonton-based trio of musicians creating prairie folk music for the 21st century. Inspired by the folk singer-songwriters and country/Bluegrass greats of their parents’ generation, the band is known for lively stage performances featuring musical meditations on motherhood and grief; on power and inequality; and on questions of home, family, and belonging—all topped off with the occasional bawdy waltz. With lead singer Susan Isaac on guitar/piano, Jessica Nelson on mandolin, and Keavy Martin on bodhrán, The Night Warblers specialize in thoughtful songwriting, moving three-part harmony, and plenty of good humour on stage.
